The Mental Health Resource League announces 
1st Annual Major Leaguer Award!

MHRL will honor one individual who is an outstanding advocate for behavioral health issues and causes (mental health, substance abuse and/or developmental disabilities) in McHenry County.

Criteria:

1. The nominee has current or former involvement with a MHRL funded agency as a staff member, consumer, board member or other kind of volunteer;

OR

The nominee is/was employed or is/was otherwise significantly associated with in an organization (business, non-profit, faith community, governmental, volunteer, other) that supports behavioral health issues and causes;

OR

The nominee has no significant current or past direct involvement with a MHRL agency or organization as described above but is someone known as a strong supporter of behavioral health issues and causes.

2. The nominee must live, work, or attend school in McHenry County.

3. Current MHRL Board members are not eligible for nomination.

 

 
Nominations:

 
Nominations can be made by filling out the online nomination form. Please limit your nomination to the one page form. Only 30 nominations will be accepted so please make your nominations as quickly as possible.
 
 
 

 

Process and timeline:

1. A(n) MHRL Board member will contact individuals who have made nominations for clarification or additional information if necessary.

2. MHRL Board members will consider nominations and select the Major Leaguer of the Year.  The honoree and the person who nominated him or her will be informed.

3. The award winner will be honored at a ceremony taking place on May 20, 2012 at the Fair Diddley Craft Show on the Woodstock Square.
