Board members from the Mental Health Resource League were honored to accept a check in the amount of $5000 from Meijer's store in McHenry on October 27th. The League approached Meijer for a sponsorship for shopping bag sponsorship in April, 2023. Store Director Shaun Bonner contacted the League shortly after the application was submitted asking additional questions about the mission and impact of the League. Meijer store associates narrowed the field down to four agencies and store associates voted on which two agencies should receive funding. We are happy to announce that Meijer store associates voted for the Mental Health Resource League and Home of the Sparrow as grant recipients for their Christmas donation fund!
